Ashe, Pendeli Kingdom

Ashe was a small town in the Hosten district of the Pendeli Kingdom. It served as a coven for approximately 1500 Devari.

Founded by a priest named Olsten Gillespie in the year 973, Ashe became notorious in the area for its strange religious practices, predominately its rituals worshiping a deity that lived in the lake. It was incorporated in 1001, but it was abandoned in 1005 after a majority of the population mysteriously vanished.

In 1066, the town was reinhabited by descendants of Olsten Gillespie. The coven quickly grew to a peak population of 2500, but epidemics in the area reduced it to a stable 1500.

The Church of Truth came to the coven in 1198, and the rapid conversion of the residents caused the shrines in the area to close down. By 1213, the Church had almost complete control over the coven.

The residents of Ashe committed suicide about 3 months after the Ach-Aulli Riots in 1215. They drowned themselves in the nearby lake. Many writings left behind reference a curse afflicting the town.
